Booking & Cancellation


How do I make a reservation?
Booking your stay with Vacation in Chelan is easy and secure. Visit our website to view availability, photos, amenities, and detailed descriptions of our vacation homes. Call or email us and we would be happy to work with you to answer any questions you have about the home(s) you are interested in.

When are payments due?
An initial payment of 50% is required upon booking, and the remaining 50% is due 30 days prior to guest arrival. For reservations made less than 30 days prior to arrival, the entire payment is due in full upon booking. All rates/fees are taxable.

What payment methods do you accept?
Our online reservation system accepts most major credit cards including Visa, MasterCard and Discover.

What is the minimum night stay?
The minimum reservation for most of our homes during the summer is typically one week, and ranges for other times of year from two to seven nights. You can find the minimum night stay requirements under the “rates” tab on each home.

What are the occupancy limits?
Occupancy is based on the number of individuals the property sleeps, and most homes are very strict on the number of adult/children occupants. There is an adult maximum occupancy number, along with the total number the property can accommodate including children, which is detailed out in the description of each property.

How old do I need to be to make a reservation?
Everyone who is traveling must be at least 25 years old or accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. For some homes, the age requirement may be higher.

What is the cancellation/refund policy?
In the event of a cancellation, notice must be given via email or mail. Full details can be found in the terms and conditions on our website.

During Your Stay


What time is check in and check out?
Exact times are listed in your booking confirmation email, but at most homes check in is after 4pm and check out time is promptly by 10am. We have very strict check-in and check-out times during the summer, as we have a very short window of time for our housekeepers to get the home ready for each guest.

How do we check in?
For reservation that are paid in full, check-in instructions are emailed 7 days prior to your arrival and include driving directions and the house entry code. There are no formal check-in procedures, unless noted otherwise; just enjoy your vacation!

Can we have friends/family visit?
The number of occupants on your reservation is declared at the time of booking, and additional people cause more wear and tear, greater use of products/services, and can cause overflow or other problems to septic systems. Guests must be declared and approved in advance, and must depart no later than 9pm. Many of our homes are in quiet neighborhoods so please note that our rental agreement includes provisions against excessive noise, and a strict “no party” policy. Please let us know before booking if you have any questions or concerns about this policy and/or our rental agreement before booking.

Can I bring my dog?
Dogs are allowed in many of our homes, but must be declared and approved in advance. Prior to bringing your dog, you must receive approval, pay the $50/pet fee, and agree to the terms and conditions on our website.

Is maid service included?
No, cleaning is provided before and after your stay. If you would like to have maid service please contact us for availability and pricing.

Is smoking allowed?
All of our properties are non-smoking.

Who do I contact if I have a question during my stay?
The 3-ring binder should answer most of the questions you may have about the vacation rental property. For other questions, you can email us at info@vacationinchelan.com or call our office at 509.682.2288. A text number is also provided in your check-in instructions for maintenance emergencies.

Amenities


What kind of furnishings and equipment are provided?
Please see the description and room details section of the home listing, but in general, homes are fully furnished with dishes, cookware, flatware, glasses, pots and pans, and small appliances such as a toaster, microwave, and coffee maker. A standard supply of bed and bath linens, including sheets and bath towels are provided, and hot tub towels are provided for homes that have hot tubs. Please be sure to pack any specialty items that you may require during your stay.

What supplies can I expect to find in the home?
We provide a start-up supply of soap and paper products, including hand soap, dishwasher soap, dish soap, laundry soap, paper towels, and toilet paper, as applicable. Depending on the length of your stay and usage, you may need to replenish these by purchasing them at local stores, and if there is something specific that you require, please make sure you bring it with you.

What TV cable package does the home have? Is there a DVD player and movie library?
Rental properties are individually owned and each home will have a different cable vs streaming option. We cannot guarantee television service or TV channel availability, and we are not able to provide pay-per-view services. Most homes have DVD players and a movie library to get you started.

Do your vacation rentals have wireless internet?
The majority of Vacation in Chelan properties come equipped with complimentary WiFi (please check the property listing to confirm availability). However, there are some properties due to their location that are unable to maintain a consistent wireless connection (some properties do not have access to land line or fiber internet and require satellite internet, this is the most common cause of spotty connections).

Is there a grill at the vacation property?
Yes, there are grills at each of our properties. Most homes have electric grills, but at times other types of grills may be provided and are usually noted in the property description page.
